Cut and sewn in California
The last of it's kind from the last great American selvedge denim mill. The Cone Khaki Overdye employs a special dye process to create a truly antique look.
Gustin jeans made from sanforized raw selvage denim from Cone Mills White Oak plant in Greensboro, North Carolina. We've used hundreds different selvedge denims from Japan, Italy and the USA and we can safely say we've never found a style quite like this one. The reason is the special khaki colored overdye. Let's start with the building blocks, which serve as a great base. The fabric has a very deep blue warp that's a just a touch inky. You can detect subtle vertical grain in the texture as well. A solid 13 ounce weight makes in a great year round fabric. Here is where things get much more beautiful. This fabric is treated with a khaki overdye. The whole of the fabric is dipped. The blue warp just gets a subtle dusty look, but the weft really picks up the dye, taking on a vintage, yellowed appearance. This rare khaki color in the weft shows through the dark warp to yield a wonderful antique appearance to the denim. A prominent khaki ID finishes it off. This is truly a rare and special find from our friends at Cone Mills.
This is the same style and quality that was sold in boutiques all over the country for $205+.
