The warp gets a bright indigo dye. The weft is jet black from a special charcoal formulated dye. The indigo top means you get a living garment that will fade and age beautifully. Various indigo tones and fading are part of this fabric. The indigo dye bath changes with each batch. Indigo color can vary and is part of the process. The charcoal dyed back lends a subtle shadow.
