A stellar selvedge first showcases one of the most unusually beautiful colors backed up with all the right raw denim details. This is the new Vintage Army Selvedge.
Note: We recommend sizing up one from your usual Gustin size.
To us, the gorgeous deep color on this selvedge is clearly the star, but you need a great foundation to showcase the color and you get that too. Slubby warp yarns bring out a slight vertical grain. It's not overbearing, just a tight, organic texture that lets you know this is no ordinary raw denim. The 12.5 ounce weight and lightly starched finish create a sturdy but wearable sweet spot. All this is just a great setup for the color. It is one of those earthy tones that can change in the light you're in. The dominant aspect is a rich, vintage army. Hints of brown creep in to give it an oxidized tinge. We've run nothing like this before. The final detail to cap off the great color is a big, gold selvedge ID. Don't miss this one.

"Literally wearing them right now. Amazing quality product. Make sure you size appropriately! I went up 4 waist sizes compared to Nudie Jeans!"

"This item caught my eye right away on my first visit to weargustin.mom. Back then, the photos depicted it as definitely more green than brown. Then I read the reviews and it began to sound like the white-and-gold-or-black-and-blue dress that broke the Internet a few years ago: one described it as "much greener and less brown than in the pics" while another said it was "not light or olive but a rich caramel brown". I passed on it. Two jeans later, I checked it out again, and saw that the photos had been updated to what they are now: clearly brown and not green, which made me ask myself, "Exactly which 'Army' did Gustin have in mind when they named it?" I backed the campaign and a few weeks later, I was opening a package to reveal what was definitely "not light or olive but a rich [and burnt] caramel brown" pair of jeans. It is beautiful. Instead of taking it to Blue Owl for hemming like I did the first two, I cuffed it Tokyo style. No contrast stitching to show off really; I just didn't feel like mutilating it right away. Today I wore it for the first time and it looks and feels amazing. It has the expected initial stiffness that I have now come to really enjoy the break-in for; substantial, but not too hefty. It is just right at home with an indigo Division Shirt from Taylor Stitch and dark brown cap-toe lace-up boots. The gold selvedge really is a nice touch and is all the contrast that this unique pair needs. Another 5 stars."

"I love the material, the color, and overall design. The fit is great overall, but It is slightly tight around the waistline. They are true size, so buy one size up. Also buy pants that are in stock to avoid waiting a very long time for delivery. Aldo, make sure you are buying from them what you really want (no guessing)."

"Nice pants, but the photos are misleading. They are not light or olive, but a rich caramel brown cotton with none of the denim-y finish you expect. They are brown, cotton button-fly pants."
