An ancient design in a rich, all-American color palette. The teardrop shape is thought to have originated in Persia and was popularized in the 18th century. We love how the intricate shapes and dense pattern lend a slight hint of formality to this more casual shirt style. The color palette is the ideal finishing touch. The base is an incredibly inky navy, with red filling the teardrop centers, which are ringed in crisp white. It's the ideal balance of dark and light in an all-American color combination. Dress it up with raw denim or down with a classic pair of chinos shorts.
The short sleeve button up occupies a unique spot in our warm weather attire. It has a nice balance of formality from the button up shape with the sheer comfort of short sleeves. It's the type of shirt you can wear comfortably with shorts, a faded pair of raw denim or a clean pair of khakis. The look feels right. Ours is clean and properly constructed from a perfect collar, to a bottom hem that can be worn untucked, to nicely fitted sleeves.
Our short sleeve button-up fits just like the long sleeve. It shares the same beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. A very gently scooped bottom hem that works wonderfully un-tucked or tucked. A no-button collar that’s perfectly sized to sit well.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front.
